eCalls

The rules on the implementation of eCall calls over public land mobile electronic communications networks enter into force on 01.01.2016. With the amendments to the Ordinance on the terms and conditions for the implementation of Intelligent Transport Systems in the field of road transport and interfaces with other modes of transport, enterprises providing public land mobile networks and / or services are obliged to provide technical possibility for implementation of eCalls from anywhere in the Republic of Bulgaria, provided that there is a coverage by at least one public land mobile electronic communications network. The enterprises shall provide transmission and routing of eCalls between board equipment of the motor vehicle and the Center for receiving emergency calls of the Directorate "National System 112" of the Ministry of Interior.
